Jennie at home

Hello, I'm Jennie

Great style doesn't start with more clothes,
it starts with understanding yourself.

I've always been fascinated by people; why we think the way we do, what influences our decisions and what makes us who we are.

For over seventeen years, I worked in consumer insight, helping businesses, including Net-a-Porter, make better decisions by understanding the customers they served. It taught me that if you don't truly understand people, it's very difficult to give them what they need. That starts with listening carefully, asking thoughtful questions and taking the time to really get to know them.

People rarely want more complexity. They want clarity. They want to feel understood before they're given advice. I believe personal styling should be no different.

Wanting to combine everything I'd learnt about people with my lifelong love of fashion, I trained and qualified as a personal stylist at the London College of Style.

Today, I help people understand what suits them and, just as importantly, why. I want people to leave feeling able to make those decisions for themselves, rather than relying on someone else to make them.

What I believe about style

The importance of finding a style that is yours.

I've always admired people who seem completely comfortable in their own style. Not because they own the most clothes or follow every trend, but because their style is consistent. Their clothes reflect them. They wear what they love, not what they think they should wear.

I think that's what great style really is. It isn't about dressing to impress someone else or keeping up with what's new. It's about making choices that feel right for you. Choosing clothes because you love them, not because you hope they'll make you look more successful, more on trend or more like someone else.

I've loved clothes (particularly shoes) for as long as I can remember and as I've grown older that love of fashion has never gone away, but over time I've realised that love was never just about clothes. It was always about what they say about us, how they make us feel and the role they play in helping us express who we are.

If we work together

My role isn't to create a wardrobe that looks like mine. It's to help you create one that feels like yours.

  • I'll never tell you what you should wear.

  • I'll never encourage you to buy something simply because it's on trend.

  • And I'll never expect you to become someone you're not.

Instead, I'll take the time to understand you, your lifestyle, your personality, your colouring, your proportions and what you want your clothes to say about you.

My hope is that by the end of our time together, you'll have the understanding and confidence to make style choices that feel right for you, long after we've finished working together.

Let's begin

If you're interested in working together, I'd love to hear from you.
